The Method

It permitted the students to learn how to play with a strong sense of motivation and security. As Jair Moura, at an student explains: 'There are a series of complete physical exercises organized in a number of practice and efficient reasons for the beginner in Capoeira. They are executed inside a small space with as little force as possible to convince the student of the value of the fight, as a system of attack and defense.'

The Sequences

The original complete sequences of learning were formed with 17 strikes, where each student executed 750 to 306 movements, to condition the student physically and to teach specific motor skills to the practitioners. Capoeira is played in a roda (circle) with live berimbau music, creating a deeply cultural and communal experience.

Lorenzo's Connection

Lorenzo discovered Capoeira in 2009 through his Afro-Brazilian roots. The acrobatic movements, the music, and the cultural depth drew him in and became a formative part of his dance journey.
